Stephan samarbetade med oenologen Stephane Derenoncourt och investerade kraftigt i att förbättra planteringarna och produktionsanläggningarna. Det ultimata beviset på duellen kom 2012 när det röda vinet befordrades till Premier Grand Cru Classé B.
