"Deepin color, initially you notice mint, flowers, forest leaf and red and black fruits. Rich, supple, silky and fresh, with an opulent, fruit-filled mid-palate and finish, the chalky sensations coming from crushed rocks, stone and a hint of spice with more of that gorgeous mint and pure pit fruits taste and feels just great in the finish. The wine was made from blending 49% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Franc and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon." - Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
"A wonderful Canon La Gaffeliere “tout en finesse” with excellent length" - Markus del Monego MW
"Blackberry, chocolate and hazelnut aromas and flavors. It's medium-to full-bodied with polished, juicy tannins that give a dusty texture to the intense, rich finish. A traditional, classically structured and styled red." - James Suckling
"Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zarte Kräuterwürze, rotbeerig unterlegte dunkle Kirschfrucht, zart tabakig, feines Nougat. Saftig, feine Fruchtsüße, reife Tannine, zarter Schokoladetouch im Abgang, ein harmonischer Speisenbegleiter, mineralischer Nachhall, sehr charmanter Stil." - Falstaff
"Another tour de force in the Comtes von Neipperg lineup, 2019 Château Canon-La-Gaffelière reveals a dense purple/ruby color as well as complex, full-bodied aromas and flavors of red and black currants, tobacco, forest floor, and spicy, floral nuances. Showing the vintage's ripe, sexy, yet also elegant style perfectly, it has silky tannins, a voluptuous, layered mouthfeel, plenty of tannins, and a great finish. Drink this brilliant Saint-Emilion on release and over the following 20-30 years." - Jeb Dunnuck
"Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2109 Canon la Gaffeliere opens with an incredibly evocative perfume of lilacs, Morello cherries, blackraspberries, jasmine and Sichuan pepper over a core of ripe black plums, wild blueberries and dark chocolate with touches of iron ore and cumin seed. The Medium tofull-bodied palate reveals an edifying intensity of electric blue and black fruit layers, supported by a rock-solid frame of firm, finely grained tannins and boldfreshness, finishing long with a firework display of fruit, mineral and spicy nuanced. A thrilling wine from the get-go and one that should age very well!" - Robert Parker
