Bright, with crushed-stone and floral character on the nose. Medium body with a firm core, expanding through the palate. Vivid and bright. Lots of good energy. Crushed-stone and lightly chalky character at the end. Needs two or three years to come around.

Decanter

Purity, precision and energy here, fresh and juicy and full of life on the palate with creamy-edged ripe, red fruits. Lovely power, with a clear Pauillac-like tannic structure but mouthfeel that is silky and smooth. A fresh mineral finish leaves the palate nicely cooled. A top buy.

Potensac 2019 is an elegant Médoc wine with incredible clarity. The body is slender; the aromas are fragrant. Behind the crisp cranberries and red plums, this wine reveals a sense of tea stalk-like freshness and streaming acidity; I think the clay and limestone sub-soils play an essential role in this hot and dry vintage. The silky tannins and salty mineral notes spread on the palate with an endless finish. I am fully looking forward to its performance after bottle aging.

Dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, discreet brightening on the rim. Attractive dark berry fruit, a hint of black cherry, tobacco and notes of noble wood. Medium body, red berry touch, fresh and lively, ripe tannins, mineral and very long...

Houlberg

5,5 Thumbs Up. Duften er allerede fra første fløjt langt mere frisk ... men det havde jo nok også været underligt andet. Der er godt med træ, cedertræ, lidt cigarkasser, frugten mere klassisk med solbær, tranebær, brombær og hindbær, noget mynte, blomster, tør engelsk lakrids, knuste sten suppleret med en snas kanel. I munden er det nu slet ikke så blødt og cremer, for her er der mere modstand og mere kant. Den har en ung, frisk frugt med masser af syre, noget bitterhed, silkefine og tørre tanniner, meget levende og har også nogle kalkede, salte mineraler. Det er næsten gemmevin, for der er sgu spræl i banditten. 93 point.

The nose is fruity and offers a fine richness. It reveals notes of blackberry, wild raspberry and small notes of ripe wild red berries associated with slight hints of violet as well as discreet hints of liquorice. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a beautiful juicy fruit, a beautiful freshness, suavity, fat, richness, gourmandise as well as a slight acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, juicy fleshy raspberry and small notes of fleshy / juicy red berries associated with fine touches of cassis as well as very slight hints of licorice, chocolate and vanilla.
