"The nose offers a beautiful complexity as well as a slight minerality. It reveals fine notes of boysenberry, flowers (lily, cornflower) associated with a very discreet hint of cassis, blueberry as well as discreet hints of red fruits, gray pepper, a discreet hint of mocha and terroir (limestone/clay). The palate is fruity, nicely gourmand, elegant, well-balanced and offers a slight smoothness, tension as well as a beautiful structure and a fine fat. A monster of finesse and power! In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy blackberry and slight hints of fresh raspberry associated with very slight hints of cornflower, a very discreet hint of salin minerality, dark chocolate as well as slight toasted/caramelized hints on the finish/persistence. Tannins are elegant, fine, straight and slightly creamy. Good length. The finish is suave."

Full-bodied and beautifully concentrated, with liquid minerality emerging with time in the glass, this legendary Saint-Emilion in the making needs 5-7 years of bottle age and will keep for 3-4 decades.”
