“On the nose, elegant, aromatic, distinguished and offers power (in finesse/delicacy), some concentration as well as a nice finesse of grain. It reveals notes of bursting blackcurrant, blue berries and more lightly blueberry associated with touches of licorice/zan, crushed strawberry, grey pepper, spices as well as fine points of green cardamom, vanilla, sense of place and an imperceptible touch of black olive (in the background). On the palate, fruity, balanced, distinguished, precise and offers a nice finesse, fine grain, juiciness, richness (in finesse), smoothness, power (in delicacy), a certain density (in balance), a nice stretched side/all in length. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bursting blackcurrant, small blue berries/burstings combined with hints of violet, tart/charnished red berries, blueberry, sweet spices as well as fine hints of sense of place, toastiness, hazelnut, a discreet touch of graphite, chocolate and caramelization. The tannins are precise, relatively massive and polished.”

Excellent nose with distinct aromatic expression, rich fruit, blackberries, plums and elderberries, dark chocolate, vanilla and oriental spices in the background. On the palate well structured with freshness, ripe tannins, fresh fruit, dark berries and hints of plums, mild spices and dark chocolate. A wonderfull wine with freshness and excellent length.

Licorice, espresso, chocolate covered plums, smoke and earthy aromas are what you initially notice. From there you find a boatload of silky, polished black and red fruits, coffee bean and cocoa that feels as good on your palate as it tastes. Fleshy, full-bodied, long and lusciously textured, this is already showing just great. With a few years of age, it is going to get even better. 92-94

The 2020 Dalem has a well-defined bouquet of blackberry, raspberry, cedar and light undergrowth scents, all very focused and beautifully delineated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, ripe but elegant, with plenty of freshness toward the finish. There is an effervescent quality about this nascent Fronsac that I love. A super Dalem that will age with style

What a nice nose, deep, dark fruit, smoke, some leather, peat. On the palate, firm, dense and with a lot of pressure, remains very elegant, the tannins are of very good quality, the wine is lively, full of energy and shows a crisp, juicy, red berry fruit and a stimulating spice in the finish. This wine will be fun early on and yet mature well. A real bargain, very successful!

Deep purple-black in color, the 2020 Dalem leaps from the glass with notes of ripe black cherries, juicy blackberries and stewed plums, plus suggestions of garrigue, star anise and chocolate mint. The full-bodied palate is chock-full of wonderfully pure, expressive black fruits, supported by plush tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long with a spicy kick. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, aging for approximately 14 months in French oak barrels, 52% new.
