Om Château Giscours

Det storslagna Château Giscours ligger i kommunen Labarde i södra Margaux. Slottet disponerar över 102 hektar med grusavlagringar, vars djup varierar från 2 till 8 meter.

Den nederländske ägaren Eric Albada Jelgersma har under de senaste två decennierna tillfört sina två Margaux-slott, Giscours respektive du Tertre, välbehövliga injektioner av dynamik och kapital.

Efter omfattande nyplanteringar, övergång till markbearbetning samt noggrann restaurering av produktionsanläggningarna börjar resultaten nu verkligen visa sig. De internationella bedömningarna har sedan millennieskiftet fått ett rejält uppsving, och Giscours motsvarar nu återigen fullt ut sin 1855-klassificering som 3. Cru Classé.
