The 2020 Cap de Faugeres is medium to deep garnet-purple in color. It needs a fair bit of swirling to dispel broody notes of tar and damp soil and to bring out a fragrant core of kirsch, black raspberries, and boysenberries, leading to wafts of roses and cinnamon stick. The medium to full-bodied palate is coated with bright, crunchy black and red fruit, supported by fine-grained tannins and a lively line, finishing with a skip in its step.

Dark in color, the wine offers an array of scents, featuring black cherry liqueur, olives, licorice and coffee bean. Lush, round, rich and fruity, the finish packs in a lot of sweet, ripe, dark red pit fruits and chocolate.

2020 var et ret godt år i Bordeaux, hvilket lønner sig på sigt. Denne klassiske sag er allerede godt på vej til at blive en rigtig perle. Skøn duft af brombær, solbær, lakrids, blommer, viol og mørk chokolade. Den må gerne åbnes i god tid, da den ellers er en smule “lukket”, hvilket også vidner om, at den kan ligge i mange år endnu. Når den kommer til live, har den en skøn frugtighed, friskhed og god syre.
